Feb 28th

So this is the last day of the month. And we had a great day in Ft Walton Beach Florida. Ferry Park is the name of their Disc Golf Course. And we meet a 2 week new disc-golfer named Brain. And he played our first round with us. I have found that it is alot better to play a round with a local then it is to wonder through the unexplored courses. Brain was nice enough to show us around the course. He also informed us about their 2pm doubles that they were haveng today. So we got our first round in and I took the big W. I shot 2 down but Joe was right behind
me at even par. This was from the short tee though. So we showed up for doubles. And my partner and I finished up tieing for first with ten under par. So we had to play off to decide the tie. Allthough I would of rather just thrown for Closest to the pin to decide for of. they wanted to play off for it. This means the first one to beat the other on a hole. But what happens too many times is that you keep on tieing. Well we played three holes and this is my like 50th hole of the day and we miss a 40 ft putt to lose first place. But this is still a win. SO me and my partner split $30 instead of $60. Still that Florida moneys is real nice!lol Well after the doubles we got a few more people to come sign our fridge. See we are letting disc-golfers that we meet on our trip come in and sign our fridge. After hanging out with everyone someone asked if we wanted to play a glow round. Of course we were down. They put open a glow stick and dripped that stuff onto a little peice of paper. Then taped it to the top of our discs. That was cool. plus there happened to be a full moon. Wow were couldn't of had any better of a time. So we played doubles and me and Ben partnered up and beat three teams. One of those was Joe though. And he didn't have a partner. So he just got an extra one shot each hole. So after that we had to say good bye to all the cool guys from FT Walton Beach (F-DUB) :( I hope I to do this kind of thing again, So that I can see all these cool people again in my life.

Blue Angel Naval Recreation Area is home of two of the most unique course that I have ever played. Fist of all this is a super private course. You have to be sponsored by someone in their club or have a valid Military ID. But luckily we meet Mr. Mike Sidebottom last week at the tournament we played in Moble AL. And he set it up for us to be here. Then we had not be here for more then 30 mins before Mr. Sidebottom came by our campsite to challenge us three to a doubles match against him and two other (old guys) is how he put it. So we couldn't say no to the challenge. Even though we had said that this was going to be our day off from throwing. So we play these " old guys" and get our butts kicked. Well first of all two of these guys were the course designers. So we get up early the next day to play the other course. And to be warmed up to play them again. Well we got our butts
stomped again. this time they shot 13 under par and we only shot 6 under par. But it was really cool playing with this guy named Thomas. He was one of the designers and he had mad all kind of stuff out there on the courses. Like one hole had a suspended basket that he had put up. And there was all kind of stuff in the trees that he had put there. Like one hole had a big Bell hanging in the
trees. One hole had a wooden airplane on it. Each hole had its own character about it. I don't think we can top this stay.

Feb 21st
So we had to day goodbye to Moble today. But not before we playing their best course if you ask me. It was a lot more open then the other
courses that we had played. It was called Municable DGC. And it was the first time we got to see what our new best friend Shane could do. Well needless to say he killed us all. But that's because he had a 450 ft shot every time if he wanted. Well this course had some unique holes. There was a hole that had an full size airplane on it. And there was a hole that had a Old school steam engine train on it. Both were wrapped by a tall metal fence. Which were both OB. But it made for some beautiful shots.

After that we headed to Fairhope AL. There was a nice course there surrounding a school. We only got to play the first couple holes here. But
the ones that we played were very nice. huge open shots into a baskets set nicely under a huge tree. But the sun ran out on us. So we headed to our
next adventure.

We thought we knew discgolf. But we didn't. We have found the kind of world that I want to live in. Moble AL is awesome. They have over 40 courses in the county. And over 12 within a 15 mile radius around Moble. We first went to Cottage Hill DGC. It was very wooded but fun. most the holes were through a tight fairway and finished under some huge tree. But Joe pulls out the win. He beat me by 3 strokes. But while we were there we came across a flier for a tournament on feb 20th. we at this point it was that Friday. so how many times are we going to come across a tournament that is tomorrow? So we check into it and there was camping on site also. So we are headed back to the bago and we meet a guy named Shane. Well he is camping at the same place that the tourney is at. so we just best friend Shane and he drove us to some of their local courses. We played doubles at two different Awesome courses. and the tournament was cool as hell. We meet so many people. We meet the Godfather of Southern Nationals. Well So I placed 5th (tied) in my
division. Well 19th out of 50 really. But I had a great time. That night I put out a fire at the mens shower house. I was about to leave the bathhouse and I noticed a coal had feel out on the ground so i opened the door to see what it was that fell. And the frame to the heat vent was on fire. So i ran back to the bago and grabbed the fire extinguisher that we had just bought for the bago. And ran back up to the bathhouse. put out the flames. So then me and Ben flagged down the securty guy and he called 911. That was as crazy night.

Hello all, Writing y'all from good old Mississippi. We hit up two courses. First we made it to Shepard state park. Mississippi has a good habit of putting disc golf parks in at their state parks. Which is great form us! Well hole fifteen was only a short trail from our camp site. Muddy has no meaning to the rest of the world like it does here in Mississippi. But if you didn't mind the mud, it was an awesome course. So Joe hit the basket on the last hole to earn his way into the 51 club. But Ben Yip is turning into pretty good player. He tied Joe.

Then we made it Pascagoula Mississippi. IG Levy is the name of their course there. We meet Bobby from Fl there and without hie help. We wouldn't of been able to follow the course design. But I had the worst day. I lost TWO of my main drivers. One beat in Champion Roadrunner. And a new First run Big star star Katana. And Ben tied me. And Joe beats both of us. Good job Joe. BY the way we stopped at the Hard Rock casino while we were here in Mississippi. And I won there. Went in with $40 to spend walked out with a free Birthday Buffet and about $200.00 extra in my wallet

Hello all. We are writing y'all from Mississippi. We finished up LA and got out of town before New Orleans swallowed us up. Hahaha just kidding. But New Orleans was pretty crazy. Anyway we headed for the cost towards our next course and came to relize that there were a ton of casinos in Mississippi. SO we stopped in to the HardRock cafe Casino. We had an unbelievable meal at the Satisfaction Buffet. Where after we were done we understood how it got its name! After filling our belly's to the rim. We hit the floor. I won over $100.00 in the first ten mins. So after the fellas lost all there moneys and I was up to Around $200.00 we called it quit and headed of to Gauiter, MS. Shepard State Park was the next course on our trip so we got there around dusk and as so as we pulled up, I saw it was another Disc golf course at a Park where we can camp at. So We made camp and woke up early and played. Ben Had the lead after the first 9. Man he is getting better veryday. But Joe took it from both of us at the end. Joe was 6 over par and Ben and I tied at 9 over par. So this was the first time I had not won on the trip.
Way to go fellas!

Then we drove to Pascagoula, MS. To a course called IG Levy DGC. All of these courses that we have been playing have just beenredone since Katrina. And this one was the same way. SO the baskets and tee boxes were a little hard to find since everything got washed away. But this course Took two very important discs from me. My favorite Roadrunner and my brand new Big Star Katana. We even went back after we were done playing to try and find them. But after the sun was running out on us we had to call it quits. And Joe won again. He shot two stokes better then Ben and I. And yes again Ben tied me. SO then we headed back to AL. Mobile to be correct. Where there must be a Disc Golfers dream. There are 12 Courses within 15 miles of each other. SO hopefully I will have some killer story's to tell. Until next time

MardiGras 2010

Hello all. I am writing y'all from New Orleans and I am now one year older. This has been my first Mardi Gras. And it was as crazy as everyone said it was going to be. And we did somehow play some disc golf. Lafreniere Park is the New Orleans DGC. It had 24 holes. They were pretty much in an open field with some big trees and tucked in pin positions. They was some water on a couple holes. I did throw a start xcalaper right in the drink .
So I had had the hardest time staying in front of joe and be on the score card. But I held the win by only one stroke. Good job Joe! So tomorrow we head out of town once again. Onward to Mississippi once again. This time I hope it's much warmer. So we'll talk to y'all at the casino when we hit it big. peace out
